Doyle Family Farm
Unique Maine Farms is a volunteer educational outreach project that was established in 2014 at the Doyle Family Farm to highlight and support the diversity of sustainable agricultural enterprises taking place in Maine. The project is committed to
the preservation of farmland and natural resources for future generations. By promoting the efforts of all types of farms, it educates students and the public about local food systems and the many career opportunities in agriculture. Because of its all-inclusive core belief that “farming is for everyone,” Unique Maine Farms strives to support all types of agricultural pursuits in Maine including farming that is taking place among the disenfranchised and vulnerable populations.
The Doyle Family Farm will be welcoming visitors on Saturday, October 5 & Sunday October 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for their Two-Dollar-Off Every Perennial and Herb Fall Plant Sale. Autumn is a perfect time to plant perennials. Perennials and herbs in 4-inch pots will only cost $2.50. Plants in larger pots will each be reduced by two dollars. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Unique Maine Farms' project. Signed copies of the Unique Maine Farms book will be available for sale. The Doyle Family Farm is located at 515 Garland Road in West Newfield, Maine.
